FAQs

What is pellamex and how does it work?
pellamex is a daily food supplement that has been developed to nourishes the skin’s natural barrier from the inside so that you look and feel great on the outside. For more details about how it works, check out our science page.

Who should take pellamex?
pellamex should be taken by adults who want a simple, natural and innovative way to moisturise their skin from the inside out. pellamex is especially ideal for those with dry, sensitive and eczema-prone skin.

Which skin types can benefit from pellamex?
pellamex is suitable for all skin types. Due to its moisturising and strengthening properties, it is especially ideal for dry, sensitive and eczema-prone skin.

What is the difference between pellamex and my current moisturiser?
Unlike normal lotions and emollients, pellamex is a once daily food supplement that works naturally with your skin to moisturise it from within. As well as contributing to the Natural Moisturising Factor produced by your body, the active ingredients in pellamex feed your skin barrier. It is also much less time-consuming than applying topical moisturisers!

How long do I need to take pellamex before seeing visible results?
pellamex works naturally with your skin from within, so its effects will be gradual and build up over time. Our clinical studies suggest that you might have to take pellamex for 30 days (one box) before seeing visible results, but this will vary from person to person. As is the case for all skincare products, we cannot guarantee that pellamex is effective in every person.

What happens if I miss a dose of pellamex?
pellamex works best if you take one sachet a day, but do not worry if you accidentally miss one. Continue taking pellamex as usual the following day. Do not try to ‘catch up’ by taking more than one dose in a day, as this will not make up for the lost dose.

Can I take too much pellamex?
Taking more than one dose of pellamex in a day will not increase or speed up its effects, as your body will get rid of the excess active ingredients, so there is no benefit to taking more than one dose in a day.
If you take more than the stated dose of pellamex and an adverse reaction is observed then seek medical advice. Excessive consumption may have a mild laxative effect.

What age range is pellamex for?
pellamex is for all adults over the age of 12. A paediatric version of pellamex for infants is currently undergoing clinical trial, and will be available for purchase in 2018.
